Seth's Box

I should have gotten a box a long time ago. Seth spent over an hour in his box the other day. He's decorating the inside with names of Pokemon i think. He ate his burritos in there too, as you can see.



Seth cut the hole in the side so he would be able to close the box all the way by himself. He is quite creative.

Max Dalling 6/9/2011

This is Max. He was born on Thursday, June 9, 2011. He weighed 8 lb. 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. Ana had to have a planned c-section.

Ragnar 2011

This is the medal I earned.

This picture was taken near the very top of 'The Ragnar' leg of the race. Andres ran this leg. He even passed someone.

Now that it is over, I am glad I ran in the Ragnar with Andres, Armando, Alan, Eric, and Marissa. We had a lot of fun together. Jimmy drove the support van the first 2 legs but then he had to come home to coach Grey's baseball game. The 2nd leg was by far the hardest. I think I started around 3:00 am. The hills were very hard for me and it was really cold running through East Canyon in the middle of the night. Jimmy wants to do it next year. Maybe I'll just drive.

Seth made biscuits tonight. The normal sized biscuits are in the oven right now. He made some mini biscuits with the leftover dough. He is very good at following directions.

Primary Children's Medical Center

Every 2 years PCMC does an open house. They set up a lot of different hands-on exhibits for kids. I didn't get pictures of all of them. They always invite Jim to set up his Lithotripsy stuff to show kids. His exhibit is usually one of the favorites. The news crews are usually there. This year Jim was shown on the news doing his stonebusting. This is the first time we have gone. The boys loved it. I hope we can do it again in 2 years. Grey might be too old for it then though. This was actually last year in October. It just took forever for me to post.

There was an exhibit where they helped kids pretend to remove an appendix. Grey and Seth thought this was pretty cool. They were very precise surgeons.

Jim is getting ready to shock a quarter. It was interesting to watch the quarter jump when the shock hot it. The kids all seemed to love Jim's exhibit. He also shocked a peppermint candy and it busted up into peices.

La Lengua

I went to lunch at an Argentine restaurant last week. The appetizer they served was beef tongue. It was not very appetizing. I posted the picture on Facebook and I had mixed responses. Most people thought it was nasty but all my family from Argentina said it looked yummy. I did not try it.

Grey did a research project on Marco Polo. This was for the 6th grade project. He had to memorize a poem that told about Marco Polo so we could guess who he was. He did a great job and got a very good score.

Wood Pecker

Last Sunday I was doing the dishes and looked up to see a bird I had never seen before. I called Jim over to identify it for me. He is an Eagle Scout and he is The Smartest Man ALIVE. He said it was a Wood Pecker. He was pretty surprised to see it. He didn't think they lived around here. It was pretty cool to watch. It was a beautiful bird.
