I'm not sure exactly how many pictures Jim took before the game, but he was down there for quite a while. Its a good thing cameras are digital now and I don't have to pay to develop the pictures.

Bears Game

The view from our seats. We sat by some really fun Bears fans...minus the language issue that was really not my favorite. It was such an intense game. It got so loud that Jim and I still can't hear each other. The Bears won, thankfully. The score was 20 to 17.

Bears Game

Gates don't open until 5:30. We got here at 4:15 just to make sure we were here on time for the 7:30 start. We did not want to repeat missing the first 9 minutes like we did for the Michigan game. Jim is super excited!

Top Chef in Chicago

Last night we ate dinner at Gino's East in Chicago. After dinner, Jim went out to the curb to get the car from the valet while I finished paying the check. Before I came out, as Jim was standing and waiting, he saw Marcus - the winner of Top Chef Masters. Without thinking Jim exclaimed out loud, "Top Chef Masters!!" Marcus turned around and said hi, then shook his hand. When I came out Jim told me. We then noticed that Gino's East is right next door to his restaurant, C-chops.

Michigan vs. Bowling Green

We thought we were about an hour early but as we walked toward the stadium we heard the crowd cheer and the announcer said "first down Michigan." So the game started at noon not One. Bummer. It was a lot of fun. Michigan won by a lot. It was something like 65 to 21. I think Jim had a great time. The weather was perfect.

Cubs vs. Cards

we got here right when the gates opened. I am feeling a little cold but Jim is loving the Chicago Fall weather. There are a lot of people wanting to see the Cubs quilt this time. We are having lots of fun and I'm so glad I was able to plan this surprise trip.

Weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's

Grey and Seth spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's last night. They went on a hike yesterday. Grey was really impressed with a boy in the primary at Grandma's that could play th music from the cantina in the Star Wars movie on the piano.

Homecoming for AJ

Aj asked Courtney to homecoming yesterday. Kelsey helped him fill a bunch of balloons and one of them had his name in it. Courtney answered the same night. she made him sift through a big bag of flower for the answer and then she came and rang the doorbell 10 min later with a rose and said "sorry, wrong flower".

Samuel Miguel Calderon

Andres and Stacee's baby was born On Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Stacee had to have a c-section because Samuel was breech. Stacee is doing well and Samuel is healthy. Jim wants to call him Samuelson and I want to call him Sammy. Either way, he is adorable!!

Cowabunga Bay Birthday Party

Grey got to pick 3 friends to take with him to Cowabunga Bay for his birthday party this year. He asked Alex, Amber and Garrett. the Eborn's and the Stone's joined us. I think the kids had tons of fun on the water slides. They also enjoyed getting dumped on. Cowabunga Bay has 2 huge buckets way up high that dump when they have accumulated 1200 gallons of water. There was also a lazy river, but the water was warmer than we would've liked. We had a fun day playing in the water and soaking up the sun.
